Stakeholders Engagement

BDMS realizes the importance of treating and respecting all stakeholders through various forms of participation channels of the organization in order to know expectations and be able to consider the appropriate and complete response approach to each stakeholder group by considering relevant factors such as the level of dependency, the level of impact from business activities, the level of influence on the organization's business, etc.,

Stakeholder Analysis Process

BDMS conducts stakeholder analysis in a systematic manner to effectively manage relationships and create shared value with stakeholders. The process follows based on the international AA1000 Stakeholder Engagement Standard (AA1000SES) and consists of the following key steps

1. Stakeholder Identification

Identify individuals, groups, or organizations that are directly or indirectly impacted by or have an influence on the Company’s operations. This includes both internal and external stakeholders, such as employees, customers, partners, government agencies, communities, and investors.

2. Stakeholder Prioritization

Assess and categorize stakeholders based on two main criteria:

  • Level of influence on the organization’s decision-making and success
  • Level of impact they receive from the organization’s activities

By dividing stakeholders into four groups according to the levels of impact the Company has on the stakeholders, and stakeholders’ influence on the Company and determine the appropriate level and method of engagement.

3. Stakeholder Concerns Analysis

Gather insights into stakeholder expectations and concerns through various methods, including interviews, workshops, surveys, public consultations, and complaint channels. The aim is to ensure an accurate understanding of material issues from each stakeholder group with details of creating participation with important stakeholders.

BDMS Basic Life Support Training

BDMS’s network hospitals launched the “We Can Be Hero – Basic Life Support Training” program with the aim of disseminating essential lifesaving knowledge to the public. The program is designed to build confidence and competence in emergency response through hands-on training and workshops led by certified instructors, following internationally recognized standards.

In 2024, BDMS hospitals conducted over 1,080 training sessions on basic first aid and CPR techniques, delivered safely and effectively to diverse groups—including employees’ families, surrounding communities, schools and educational institutions, government and private sector agencies, as well as high-risk professional groups such as motorcycle riders and food delivery personnel. Collaborating Health – Community and Societal Health Partnership

BDMS hospitals engage in long-term social initiatives to deliver well-being by collaborating with stakeholders through the organization’s business processes to promote and support sustainable access to healthcare services for communities and society.

BDMS implemented the “BDMS Strong Hearts: Connecting to Promote Heart Health” initiative to enhance access to medical treatment for heart disease patients in remote areas. The program mobilizes expert medical doctors and personnel as well as advanced equipment from BDMS’s Center of Excellence (COE) hospitals—such as Bangkok Hospital Pattaya, Bangkok Hospital Ratchasima, Bangkok Hospital Khon Kaen, and Bangkok Hospital Phuket—to support early screening and diagnosis.

Through the Echo Mobile Unit, the initiative provides echocardiogram equipment and skilled healthcare teams to reduce wait times for cardiac assessments. Additionally, Catheterization Laboratories (Cath Lab Units) were made available for in-depth cardiac diagnosis and treatment. To ensure continuity of care, BDMS deployed multidisciplinary medical teams via mobile health units and teleconsultation services to provide postoperative guidance, rehabilitation support, and patient education—empowering individuals to regain quality of life after treatment.

Further details on the program are available in the Sustainability Report 2025.
