Since Covid-19,health awareness has become a mega-trend worldwide with significant focus on preventative medicine, that is to actively engage in long-term self-care rather than wait until medical symptoms appear before going to consult a doctor. Mental wellbeing is no exception. In addition to a marked increase in e-mental healthcare services, there is an increase in activities with the aim to educate the public about mental wellbeing and to enable them to reach an optimal level of self-care. These include workshops on topics such as healthy sleeping, healthy drinking, stress-busting crisis management and maternal mental health. At community level, new community centres are being initiated where rotating activities as far-ranging as pottery, cooking, tea ceremonies and ice-cream-making will be organised.
