BDMS is at the heart of medical research in Thailand. In order to further the collective knowledge of the country’s medical community, we provide financial support for education and research, allowing clinical personnel to improve their specialized skills.

As part of the BDMS group, the Bangkok Health Research Center (BHRC) facilitates health research activities at both clinical and pre-clinical stages in order to meet the needs of BDMS, as well as local and international partners.

The Bangkok Medical Journal disseminates new research and findings throughout the medical community. Highlighted research has included topics such as the prevalence and risk factors of carotid artery disease in asymptomatic Thai population using carotid duplex ultrasonography at check-up clinics; a retrospective study into the occurrence of venous thromboembolism and outcomes of preventive protocols at Bangkok Hospital Medical Center; Implications for biomarker testing for heterogeneity of unilateral multiple breast cancer at Wattanosoth Hospital; a surgical technique and its results of minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis with vertical incidsions of mid-shaft clavicular fractures at orthopedic department, Bangkok Hospital; and cost-effectiveness study of pupil dilatation techniques at BNH.
